Where to Eat...

Breakfast

Breakfast is the easiest meal of the day in New Orleans. Head out to Cafe Dumonde in Jackson Square for some cafe au lait and beneigts. These little donuts are covered with powdered sugar. It's the perfect start for your day.

Lunch

Hit up Johnny's Po-Boys on St. Louis Street. It's a very rustic sort of place but it has the best po-boy sandwiches in New Orleans.

Dinner

Dinner is a tough choice with so many good places to eat. I'd personally go to Arnauds which is located in the French Quarter. If you like creole food, which if you're in New Orleans is a good idea, then hit this place up. You'll love it.

What to Do...

Morning

The morning is a good time to just take a walking tour of the French Quarter. If you're there during the Summer this is the perfect time as its not yet too hot to make you wanna stay inside. Take a look at all the architecture and the scenic sites. In particular take a look at St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. It's simply beautiful inside and out.

Afternoon

Head down to the Mississippi River and take a walk through the Riverwalk Mall. It has a great selection of stores and food and helps take the edge off the heat.

Evening

The evening is a beautiful time in New Orleans. If you haven't yet made dinner plans then you can take a Riverboat cruise. It takes you up and down the beautiful Mississippi River. It's very relaxing and scenic and the food is great.

Late Night

There's so many things to do it's amazing. You can hit one of the various bars on Bourbon Street and then just walk around like everyone else does. But if you're looking for a treat hit up Pat O'Briens bar and restaurant and order the famous Hurricane.

Comments

New Orleans is a city that's built mainly for the adult traveler. All the food and drink options make it a great place for singles and young couples. It offers a great diversity of entertainment options that make it a suitable destination for your next vacation. I've been there many times already and can't wait to go back.
